Levi's crawl space was completely flooded and needed an effective waterproofing system that would get rid of the water quickly! Our sales representative Jay determined that in order to remove the water from the crawl space, a SmartSump™ pump would need to be installed. The SmartSump™ pump system is capable of pumping 2,500 gallons and was the perfect product for these circumstances. The next step was to encapsulate the crawl space and transform it into a cleaner, drier, healthier, and more energy-efficient space.
Our foreman Joe and his crew installed the SmartSump pump, CleanSpace vapor barrier for encapsulation, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. On the exterior of the home, the crew used an IceGuard to prevent the discharge line from freezing or become clogged with debris or snow melt. An EZ Flow drain system was then installed to take the water from the SmartSump pump.
While Levi's crawl space had major flooding issues, our team did not have encounter any issues along the way, making for a smooth installation of an effective crawl space waterproofing process. Levi seemed very happy with the fact that his crawl space is no longer flooded, and will no longer have these problems in the future. Homeowner Lee Ann was a previous customer of Basement Systems of Indiana when she needed a sump pump to keep her basement dry. She was now ready to have a drainage system installed a waterproof wall covering in her basement. She reached out to us to set up an appointment with our Sales Inspector Jay, who promptly went to the customer’s home to create a plan to keep the basement dry at all times.
During the inspection, Jay recommended the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, one of our 5-star patented products that is installed on top of the footer around the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard French drainage system is designed to collect water that passes through the basement walls and drains it to a sump pump. Since she already had a TripleSafe Sump Pump previously installed by us, Jay explained that the WaterGuard drainage system could be tied right into the existing sump pump.
Our Foreman Nick and his crew got to work jack-hammering a trench in the basement to install the WaterGuard drainage system. Once this process was complete and the system was tied into the sump pump, they installed CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier on the basement walls to prevent moisture from passing through. The homeowner Lee Ann was thrilled and said "The Basement Systems of Indiana team are top notch professionals. The team that installed the waterproofing and new window well had great attention to detail, were professionals, and respectful of my home. Love the product and its look."
This homeowner in Clayton, Indiana had significant issues in crawl space causing her a poor environment in her home. For starters, the crawl space was dirt with no encapsulation system, drainage system or sump pump. This was allowing water to enter the crawl space with no way out causing an increase in humidity and mold growth. The floors in her home were also uneven and sagging significantly caused by unstable floor joists in the crawl space. The homeowner found Basement Systems of Indiana in a Valpak mailer and immediately reached out for a free estimate.
Our Sales Inspector Steve went to the home in Clayton, Indiana to provide a thorough inspection of the crawl space and provide a solution to the disastrous crawl space. During the inspection, Steve explained to the homeowner that her crawl space would always be vulnerable to flooding and mold growth unless a waterproofing system were to be installed. As for the sagging floors in the home, Steve explained that our crew would have to stabilize the floor joists in the crawl space with jacks to restore stability and straightness.
Our crawl space repair crew, led by our Foreman Joe, first removed debris and rotten insulation from the crawl space in preparation for a full encapsulation system consisting of CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo Wall Insulation. By sealing the crawl space, water and moisture will no longer be able to pass through the ground and walls. The crew then installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump and EZ Flow drainage system to keep the crawl space dry all the time. Next, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to control the relative humidity in the crawl space, which will provider cleaner air throughout the home. The SmartJack crawl space support system was installed to lift and stabilize the floor joists back their original level. The installation went very smoothly as a whole according to our Foreman Joe and the homeowner was very satisfied with the results.
A homeowner in Stilesville, Indiana had concerns about moisture and humidity in her crawl space and noticed a musty smell rising into the home. She was concerned that mold could be active in the crawl space and with temperatures increasing, the issue would only get worse over time. Most importantly, the homeowner and her family have persistent allergy issues in the summer and were hopeful that taking care of the issue below would alleviate their issues. Their search for reliable crawl space repair companies started on Home Advisor and ending by choosing Basement Systems of Indiana to come out for a free estimate.
Our Certified Inspector Eric went out to the home in Stilesville, Indiana to determine the cause of high humidity and moisture problems in the crawl space and propose a permanent solution to the issues. During his thorough inspection of the crawl space and exterior of the home, Eric first pointed out that with no vapor barrier or insulation, there would be no way to control the environment in the crawl space. Whatever the air temperature was outside, the temperature was similar in the crawl space. Have the crawl space ground and walls sealed would improve the air quality in the crawl space significantly and prevent the humidity and moisture from rising into the home.
Our Foreman Sai and his crew members Evert and Kevin installed CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal the earth and SilverGlo thermal wall insulation for an effective crawl space encapsulation. The crawl space has environment is now changed significantly for the better, which will also allow cleaner, healthier air to rise in to the home. The homeowner was very happy with the installation process and results of her now clean, dry crawl space!
