A homeowner in Scipio, Indiana has had significant foundation wall issues in his basement for years and it has continue to worsen. The foundation walls had large horizontal cracks and also showed signs of bowing that was likely caused by settling of the home. An attempted repair by another contractor failed to provide wall support and even made the problem even worse. He reached out to Basement Systems of Indiana for a permanent foundation repair solution so he would no longer have to worry about the stability of his home.
Our Certified Inspector and foundation expert Paige went out to the home in Scipio, Indiana to check out the exterior and interior of the foundation and determine a solution. Paige examined the initial repair made by another company and explained how we could resolve the issue with Wall Anchors. The homeowner was also interested in having his basement partially finished by having wall paneling added.
Our Production Trainer Matt led a crew of Bill, John, and Jon-Wesley to install Geo-Lock wall anchors that extend from the interior foundation wall to the stable soil around the exterior of the foundation providing maximum support. The anchors will prevent any further inward movement of the walls, which was the homeowner's goal for the project. The crew also installed BrightWall basement walls panels to provide the basement with a finished appearance.
