A homeowner in Waynetown, Indiana noticed water pooling into her basement in two different areas. The standing water had nowhere to drain out of the basement and began causing humidity and mold growth on the block walls. Once the humidity made its way upstairs into the main level, the homeowner knew she had to contact an expert to come out for an inspection.
Our Certified Inspector Steve went out to the home in Waynetown, Indiana to determine where the water was coming from and propose a solution that would continuously redirect water through a drainage system out and away from the home. Steve noticed several signs that water would eventually seep through other areas of the wall such as discoloration and a build up of a white powdery substance know as efflorescence. He explained to the homeowner that having a drainage system installed around the interior perimeter of the basement to redirect water to a sump pump system.
Our Foreman Yahir and his crew members installed the WaterGuard perimeter floor drainage system on top of the basement footer to collect water seepage passing through the floor, walls, and at the footer. Any water that seeps into the basement will now drain to a Single Pack sump pump and the through an IceGuard discharge line system out of the home. To help the musty smells and high humidity in the home, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to condition the basement and create a healthier environment.
