This homeowner in West Lafayette had several issues in his crawl space that needed to be addressed including high humidity, moisture, and failing floor joists. He began looking for reliable local contractor to resolve these recurring problems and found Basement Systems of Indiana while searching online. Our Sales Inspector Steve went out to the home in West Lafayette to provide a free, no obligation estimate that includes a thorough inspection of the crawl space.
During the inspection, Steve tested the relative humidity in the crawl space and determined that with the data he found and musty smell that an encapsulation and installation of a dehumidifier would be the most applicable option. He also noticed some damp areas where water had previously leaked in creating a need for a sump pump as well.
Our Foreman Eric and his installers John and Noah encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier on the ground to prevent moisture from passing through and SilverGlo thermal insulation on the walls.
