Crawl Space Encapsulation and Structural Repair in Winchester, IN

Homeowner Judy in Winchester contacted Basement Systems of Indiana to address moisture issues, structural concerns, and poor crawl space conditions. During the evaluation, certified field inspector Eric identified high humidity, weakened framing, and contamination from debris and old insulation.

Foreman Joe and his crew began by removing debris and old fiberglass insulation to create a clean starting point. They treated the crawl space with Mold X2 to address existing mold‑like growth before installing drainage matting and the CleanSpace encapsulation system to seal out moisture and outside air. Piers were wrapped, and vents were sealed to ensure a continuous barrier throughout the space.

To improve structural support, a sister joist was installed to reinforce weakened framing. The team also added lighting and a switch to brighten the crawl space and improve accessibility. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed along with the necessary electrical outlet to maintain healthy humidity levels.

With the crawl space now sealed, cleaned, and reinforced, Judy’s home benefits from a drier, healthier, and more stable environment below. If your crawl space needs repair or encapsulation, start with a free inspection and estimate:
