-
Before the Project:
- Homeowner Phillip in Indianapolis was dealing with ongoing basement water intrusion concerns
- Groundwater was entering through multiple areas of the basement, creating a need for a comprehensive waterproofing solution
- Specialist Terry recommended a system designed to intercept and remove water before it could reach the living space
-
Solution & Installation:
- Foreman Austin and his crew removed 58 feet of finished basement walls to prepare for the waterproofing installation
- Installed 130 feet of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system to collect groundwater along the foundation
- Added a 5-foot lateral drainage line and a 13-foot interior trench drain to capture water entering through problem areas in the floor
- Installed a SuperSump system featuring a cast iron pump, SuperSump liner, airtight lid with floor drain, CleanPump stand, and WaterWatch alarm
- Added an UltraSump battery backup to provide protection during power outages
- Completed the discharge system with two IceGuards, a 10-foot exterior discharge line, and a LawnScape outlet to safely move water away from the home
- Installed an electrical outlet to support system operation
-
After the Project:
- Basement now has a comprehensive waterproofing system designed to manage groundwater from multiple entry points
- Interior drainage, trench drainage, and sump protection work together to keep the space dry
- Battery backup protection provides added peace of mind during severe weather and power outages
- Phillip's basement is now better protected against water intrusion and prepared for long-term performance
