Before the project began, Kyla's crawl space had significant moisture and mold concerns, creating an unhealthy environment for her home. The space lacked proper sealing, humidity control, and drainage, leaving it vulnerable to mold growth and water damage.
Crawl Space Fully Encapsulated in Saint Paul
We encapsulated Kyla's crawl space using the CleanSpace system to seal out ground moisture and create a controlled environment. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed for humidity control, along with a SmartSump pump system for drainage and flood protection. Additional upgrades included soda blasting to remove mold, new electrical outlets, and a durable EverLast door for secure access. The result is a clean, dry, and energy-efficient space that will protect her home for years.
Performing Soda Blasting and Crawl Space Encapsulation
We began by performing soda blasting to safely remove mold, mildew, and debris without damaging surfaces. After cleaning, we installed the CleanSpace encapsulation system to seal out ground moisture. To maintain a healthy environment, we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier for humidity control and a SmartSump pump system for drainage and flood protection. Electrical upgrades and a durable EverLast door completed the process, creating a clean, dry, and energy-efficient crawl space.
Installing Sump Pump and Dehumidifier
To maintain a dry and healthy crawl space, we installed the SmartSump pump system for reliable drainage and flood protection, complete with an airtight lid, floor drain, and WaterWatch alarm. Alongside this, we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier with a condensate pump for automatic water removal, ensuring humidity stays low and mold cannot return.
Installing IceGuard and LawnScape Outlet
To ensure proper water discharge and prevent freezing issues, we installed IceGuard fittings on the discharge line for protection during cold weather. A LawnScape outlet was added to direct water safely away from the home, providing an efficient and reliable drainage solution for the crawl space system.
